EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Vendors and shoppers alike are hopeful for dry weather as Market on Main officially begins today in downtown Evansville. The popular weekly event will run every Wednesday through September 17th, transforming a portion of Main Street in front of the Ford Center into a vibrant marketplace.
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., visitors can browse a diverse selection of fresh produce, baked goods, handmade crafts, and a variety of food trucks. The market offers an opportunity for local farmers, bakers, and artisans to connect directly with the community.
In addition to shopping, families can take advantage of the Power of Produce program throughout July. This initiative engages children with fun, educational activities and rewards them with $2 to spend at the market, encouraging healthy eating habits and community involvement.
Organizers express optimism that favorable weather will help boost attendance and support for local vendors as the summer market season begins.
