Evansville, Ind. – An Evansville man is facing a felony charge after allegedly recording another man in a Walmart restroom earlier this month.
According to the Evansville Police Department, the incident occurred on April 14 at a Walmart location when a male victim reported that another individual had reached under his bathroom stall with a cellphone, apparently attempting to record or photograph him.
The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Matthew Bradburn, reportedly apologized to the victim after being confronted and claimed he would delete the footage.
Walmart Loss Prevention staff reviewed store surveillance footage and confirmed Bradburn’s identity and movements, observing him leaving the store and walking toward the nearby Brooklyn Place Apartments.
Authorities made contact with Bradburn on Tuesday. During questioning, police say he admitted to recording the man and stated he deleted the video the same day.
Bradburn has been charged with Voyeurism, a criminal offense in Indiana, and is currently being held without bond at the Vanderburgh County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Evansville Police Department.
