Evansville, IN – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced a lane closure for westbound traffic on Interstate 64 in Gibson and Warrick Counties, set to begin on April 7.
According to INDOT, crews will close the westbound driving lane between mile markers 28 and 30 to facilitate the installation of a new overhead sign. The project will also include the removal of the old sign and the installation of a new foundation for the updated sign.
The work is expected to last through June, weather permitting, with traffic being rerouted during this time. Motorists are advised to plan for possible delays and consider alternative routes if traveling through the area.
INDOT urges drivers to use caution while navigating through the construction zone and to stay updated on any changes to the timeline or road conditions.
