Indianapolis, Indiana – Police in Indianapolis are looking into a number of shootings that took place early on January 1.
Around 12:15 a.m., a shooting took place in the 900 block of North Grant Avenue. A female victim who was said to be in stable condition was found by IMPD.
Just after 1:15 in the morning, IMPD was summoned to the second shooting. The 1000 block of Denison Street is where this incident took place. According to the police, the victim’s condition was stable.
Police were called to another shooting in the 1500 block of East Naomi Street at about 4 in the morning. According to reports, the female victim, in this case, was conscious and breathing.
IMPD was called to a shooting in the 2200 block of Pleasant Street about a half-hour later. According to the police, the victim’s condition was stable.
Police were called to a shooting just before 7 a.m. on the city’s near northwest side, in the 2400 block of North Centennial Street. This shooting, according to the responding police, was probably unintentional and self-inflicted. According to reports, the victim’s condition was stable.
