Evansville, IN – A Gibson County woman is facing multiple charges after being arrested on Monday evening for driving under the influence with drugs in her vehicle.
According to the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office, 49-year-old Shawn Madison was pulled over by deputies on Main Street. During the traffic stop, deputies conducted an investigation that led to the discovery of methamphetamine and marijuana inside Madison’s car.
Authorities took Madison to a local hospital, where field sobriety tests were performed, and a chemical test was administered. Following the tests, Madison was arrested and transported to the Gibson County Jail.
Madison now faces charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Methamphetamines, and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. She remains in custody at the Gibson County Jail as the investigation continues.
The sheriff’s office has urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to local authorities.
