Evansville, IN – A Gibson County woman is behind bars after an incident involving deputies and a drug investigation. On Tuesday afternoon, officers with the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) arrived at a residence on North 200 West, located in rural Patoka, to conduct a drug-related investigation.
Upon arrival, deputies were granted access to the home and began conducting multiple searches. During one of these searches, 56-year-old Malissa Linder reportedly became involved in a physical altercation with law enforcement officers.
After a brief struggle, deputies took Linder into custody. In the process, authorities discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in her possession. As a result, Linder was arrested and transported to the Gibson County Jail, where she was booked on charges of meth possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting law enforcement.
The incident remains under investigation as authorities continue to pursue leads related to the case. Linder’s arrest serves as a reminder of ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to address drug activity in the community.
