EVANSVILLE, Ind. — A 46-year-old woman is behind bars after being accused of dealing methamphetamine in Evansville. Rachel Ivy was arrested Monday after a search warrant was executed at her home in the 1600 block of South Evans Avenue.
The investigation into Ivy’s activities began in January when the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office used a confidential informant to purchase 10 grams of meth from the suspect. Nearly a month later, deputies say a woman Ivy had allegedly given meth to was arrested on drug charges, prompting further investigation.
On Sunday, deputies obtained a search warrant for Ivy’s residence. Authorities say that as Ivy was leaving the property, they discovered three meth pipes, marijuana, and methamphetamine during the search.
Ivy was taken into custody and has since been charged with dealing methamphetamine. Law enforcement officials continue to investigate her involvement in the distribution of illegal drugs in the area.
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to addressing the ongoing issue of methamphetamine trafficking in the community.
