EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Police in Evansville uncovered a significant drug and firearms operation after executing a search warrant at a home on Stanley Avenue. The warrant was issued in connection with the arrest of Katelyn Williams and Brandon McKinney, both of whom are facing charges related to the distribution of methamphetamine.
According to Evansville Police, the search revealed over 40 firearms, multiple gun magazines, and a substantial amount of ammunition. In addition to the weapons, officers also found nearly a pound of marijuana, methamphetamine, and $2,600 in cash.
McKinney, when questioned about the firearms, reportedly told officers that Williams had “nothing to do with anything,” suggesting she was not involved in the illegal activity. Despite this claim, both Williams and McKinney are facing multiple charges, including dealing meth.
The investigation continues as authorities work to determine the full extent of the operation. The discovery of such a large number of firearms alongside drugs raises concerns about the potential danger to the community.
Both suspects are currently in custody, and further details regarding their court appearances or additional charges have not been disclosed at this time.
