Evansville, IN – The Evansville Police Department has announced the hiring of ten new officers who will soon begin their training at the Southwest Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. These recruits have taken the crucial first step toward careers dedicated to public safety and community service.
Department leaders expressed excitement in supporting the new officers as they embark on their journey to becoming full-fledged members of the Evansville police force.

The newly hired officers include Steven ‘Kire’ Woolery, Savannah McGee, John Pease, Seth Morrow, Robert ‘John’ Guilherme, Beau Crane, Seth Miller, Ethan Able, Corbin Ricketts, and Samuel Splittorff. Chief Philip Smith and Assistant Chief Nathan Hassler joined the recruits for a welcoming photo.
