Evansville, IN – The Evansville Police Department reported that two men were arrested following armed robberies at Plato’s Closet and Chuck E. Cheese on Evansville’s East Side Tuesday evening.
Officers were dispatched to Plato’s Closet, located in the 600 block of North Green River Road, just after 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 2, 2025, for a holdup in progress. A man armed with a gun allegedly attempted to rob the store and fired one shot inside before fleeing.
As officers arrived, they received additional calls that the same suspect had robbed the nearby Chuck E. Cheese, where another shot was fired inside the business.
Police soon located a man matching the description, who fled on foot to a nearby apartment. Officers surrounded the residence, where an occupant, identified as Dwon Collins, exited and initially denied knowing the suspect. Shortly afterward, the suspect, identified as Raquavion Cooper, came outside and was taken into custody.
Investigators determined Cooper was responsible for both robberies. A firearm was recovered near the scene.
Collins was charged with assisting a criminal, while Cooper was charged with robbery, criminal recklessness, pointing a loaded firearm, and resisting law enforcement.
