EVANSVILLE, Ind. — A Vanderburgh County jury has found Carlos Rodriguez-Geronimo guilty of two counts of rape following a brief deliberation.
According to the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office, the jury reached its verdict after only 35 minutes of deliberations on Friday. Rodriguez-Geronimo was accused of forcibly raping a woman at his home after meeting her at work and inviting her to hang out.
Rodriguez-Geronimo was arrested in late 2024 and faced trial on charges related to the assault.
Sentencing for Rodriguez-Geronimo is scheduled for June 20.
