Evansville, IN – The Evansville Fire Department announced the start of its Kids’ Badge Coloring Contest, inviting children ages 5–14 to show their creativity by designing a colorful version of the department’s badge.
Families can download and print the coloring page online or pick one up in person at the EFD Administration building, located at 550 SE Eighth Street, during business hours.
Entries must be submitted by Friday, Sept. 19, at 11:59 p.m. (CST). Artwork may be dropped off at the EFD Administration front desk or scanned and emailed to [email protected]. Each submission should include the child’s name, age, and a parent or guardian’s phone number.
All entries will be posted on the Evansville Fire Department’s Facebook page on Tuesday, Sept. 23. Community members will be able to vote by liking their favorite design, with one like equaling one vote. Voting will close on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 5:00 p.m. (CST).
The winner’s badge design will be featured as the department’s Facebook profile picture for the month of October. The winner will also receive a fire station tour, a chance to explore fire trucks and gear, and a special photo opportunity with firefighters, the Fire Chief, and the Mayor.
